Track batches of product
What are batches?
Batches allow you to track products throughout their manufacturing lifecycle.
When you start a run, you can choose to assign a batch. You can track that batch across multiple locations and runs.
Each batch is tied to a unique ID that you assign. You can use any product identifier you want as the batch ID: considuer using a batch number, lot code, order number, etc.
Create a batch
Navigate to the Runtime batches screen
In the Tendrel console, select Runtime from the side bar. Then navigate to the batches tab.
Add a batch
On the batches tab, click the Create a batch button. Provide an ID for the batch. Click Save.
Track batches in the app
When you start a run, you will have the option to assign a batch. A form will appear allowing you to select the a batch from your list.
After selecting a batch and closing the form, you will be able to see your selected batch on the run screen. You can re-open the form to change the batch by clicking the edit icon.
Review batches on the dashboards
When you navigate to the batches tab, you will see two tables:
- The active batches table shows any batches that are currently being worked on at a given location.
- The batch history table will display a list of all other batches which are not actively being worked on.
Each table contains the following information:
- Batch ID: The unique indentifier for this batch
- Created Date: When the batch was created
- Last Location: The last location where this batch was worked on
- Status [Active Batches only]: The status of the batch at it’s current location (running, down, or idle)
- Latest Activity: The timestamp of the last activity taken by the batch
Click on a batch ID in either table to open the detail page for that batch.
The top of this page will display charts aggregating data for this batch:
- The Time Allocation chart shows how much time this batch spent running, down, and idle at each location.
- The Output and Rejects chart shows how many outputs and rejects were produced at each location.
The bottom of this page contains a log of previous runs, with the in-progress run open by default for active batches.
From this list, you can select a previous run to view its log.
By default, this page will display data from this week. You can adjust this time range using the date selector at the top of the page. The list of available previous runs will match the selected time range.
The table displays a list of reasons, along with their category, the number of times they occured, and their total time.
The accompanying chart shows a breakdown of reasons by day, with two stacked bars representing downtime reasons and idle reasons.
